Best Smart Mirrors: Bluetooth Speakers, Anti-Fog and Touch Controls

On this page
A smart mirror is a mirror that does something beyond reflecting: it lights your face, clears its own fog, plays your music, shows the time or, at the top end, puts a screen behind the glass. Most of what you can actually order today sits in the middle of that range. This page compares seven smart mirrors that pair with your phone over Bluetooth, dim and change color by touch, and heat the glass so it stays clear after a shower.
I do makeup for a living, so I judge a mirror first by its light and only then by its gadgets. The specs below come from each published listing, and where a listing leaves something out, the table says Not stated. If you only want good light and no speaker, my LED bathroom mirrors page covers plain lighted models, and the LED mirror installation guide explains the wiring.

Best Smart Mirrors Compared
Sizes are width by height in inches as each listing gives them. All seven have adjustable light and some form of Bluetooth. They split on the features that matter in a wet room: how the glass is protected from water, whether the defogger is there at all, and how the mirror gets its power.

Smart Mirror Reviews
Sizes, light ranges, water ratings and power options below come from the makers' and sellers' published listings. I compared those details against each other and against what a bathroom actually puts a mirror through, and I say plainly when a listing leaves something out.
Editor's choice · Best Overall
STARLEAD 28"x36" LED Bathroom Mirror with Bluetooth Speaker | 3 Color Temperature, Stepless Dimming, Anti-Fog, Vertical or Horizontal
- Mid-range
- Size (in) 28 x 36
- Light 3000K, 4000K, 6500K; 5 to 100%
- Smart features Bluetooth speaker
- Anti-fog Yes
This is the mirror I would point most people to first, because it gets the basics right before it adds the gadget. The light switches between warm 3000K, neutral 4000K and cool 6500K, and the brightness runs from 5% to 100%, which is the widest range on this page. That low end matters more than it sounds: a mirror that only dims to 20% is still glaring at six in the morning.
The anti-fog function keeps the glass usable straight after a shower, and the Bluetooth speaker plays music or a podcast while you brush your teeth. At 28 by 36 inches and about 17 pounds, it suits a standard single vanity, and it can hang either way up, so it works over a narrow sink in portrait or a wider one in landscape.
What the listing does not say is how it is powered or what water rating it carries. Ask the seller both before you order, because they decide whether you need an outlet near the mirror or an electrician behind it.
What I like
- Three color temperatures, 3000K, 4000K and 6500K
- The widest dimming range here, from 5% to 100%
- Anti-fog plus a Bluetooth speaker in one mirror
- Mounts vertically or horizontally
Keep in mind
- No water rating stated
- The listing does not say whether it plugs in or must be hardwired
Best Light Quality
24x32 In LED Bathroom Vanity Makeup Mirror with Lights & Bluetooth Speaker | Super Bright Front LED, Anti-fog, Dimmable 3-Color Light, Shatter-proof, IP65 Waterproof, Easy Install, Safety
- Mid-range
- Size (in) 24 x 32
- Light Front LED, CRI 90+; 20 to 100%
- Smart features Dual speakers, memory
- Anti-fog Yes, one touch
If you do your makeup at the bathroom mirror, this is the one I would choose. The light comes from a front LED ring rather than only from behind the glass, and the listing rates it at CRI 90 or higher. CRI is how faithfully a light shows color, and front light on your face is what stops foundation from looking one shade off once you step outside. My guide to makeup lighting explains both ideas.
It is also the most carefully built for a wet room. The back is a one-piece molded ABS panel and the listing gives an IP65 rating, the highest water protection on this page. The glass is 5mm copper-free silvered glass with an explosion-proof film on the back, and the listing says the electrical parts are UL certified. Two hidden speakers handle the Bluetooth audio, and a memory function brings back your last setting even after the wall switch is turned off.
At 24 by 32 inches it is the smallest rectangle here, which makes it a good fit for a powder room or a 30 inch vanity. Install takes three screws, and you can plug it in or hardwire it.
What I like
- Front LED rated CRI 90 or higher, the best light for makeup here
- IP65 rating with a sealed one-piece ABS back panel
- Plug-in or hardwired, your choice
- Memory restores your last color and brightness
Keep in mind
- The smallest rectangle on the page
- Brightness bottoms out at 20%
Best Landscape Over a Sink
SBAGNO 36''x28'' LED Bathroom Mirror with Lights, Bluetooth Speaker | Stepless Dimmable, 3 Color Temperature, Anti-Fog, Tempered Glass, Touch Control, Lighted Smart Mirror for Bathroom
- Mid-range
- Size (in) 36 x 28
- Light 3000K, 4000K, 6500K; 10 to 100%
- Smart features Dual speakers, memory
- Anti-fog Yes, one touch
The SBAGNO is a good middle choice for a standard sink wall hung in landscape. Touch sensors control the light, a long press dims it from 10% to 100%, and it switches between 6500K white, 4000K natural and 3000K warm. A memory function puts back your last setting, and the anti-fog film turns on with a single press.
The audio is a step up from a single speaker: two Bluetooth speakers are built in. The glass is tempered, and the listing gives an IP44 rating for humid bathrooms. That rating means protection against splashing water, which is right for the wall over a sink but not for a spot that takes direct shower spray.
It comes ready for plug-in or hardwired power and can hang vertically or horizontally. The listing itself recommends a professional electrician for a hardwired install, and I agree with it.
What I like
- Dual Bluetooth speakers
- Tempered glass and an IP44 rating
- Plug-in or hardwired installation
- Memory and one-press anti-fog
Keep in mind
- IP44 is splash protection, so keep it out of the shower spray
- The listing recommends an electrician for hardwiring
Best Round Smart Mirror
JSneijder 30 Inch Round LED Bathroom Mirror with Dual Bluetooth Speakers | FCC Cert & ETL Listed, 3 Color Temperature, Dimmable, Anti-Fog, Black Aluminum Frame, CRI 90+, Memory
- Mid-range
- Size (in) 30 round
- Light 3000K, 4500K, 6000K; CRI 90+
- Smart features Dual speakers, memory
- Anti-fog Yes, 1 hour auto-off
Most smart mirrors are rectangles. If your bathroom calls for a circle, this is the one I would look at. It is a 30 inch round in a black aluminum frame, with 5mm silver-plated glass, and it carries both an ETL listing and an IP44 rating for damp rooms.
One detail I like is the safety timer on the defogger: the heated pad shuts off by itself after an hour, so it is not warming the glass all day if you forget it. The light runs from 3000K warm to 6000K daylight with stepless dimming from 10% to 100%, the title states CRI 90+, and a memory function recalls your last setting. Two Bluetooth speakers pair with a phone from up to 33 feet away, according to the listing.
The trade-off is the shape. A 30 inch circle has less glass than a 30 by 36 rectangle, so you see less of your shoulders. For a single sink, that is rarely a problem. My round wall mirrors page covers unlit circles if you like the shape but not the speaker.
What I like
- ETL listed and IP44 rated
- Defogger switches itself off after one hour
- Dual speakers with a stated 33 foot range
- CRI 90+ light and stepless dimming from 10%
Keep in mind
- A round mirror shows less of you than a rectangle of the same width
- Power type not stated in the listing
Best for a Wide Vanity
STARLEAD 40"x28" LED-Bathroom-Mirror-with-Lights, Wall-Mounted with Bluetooth Speaker, Anti-Fog, 3 Color Temperature, Dimmable Brightness, Waterproof, Tempered Glass, Frontlit & Backlit
- Mid-range
- Size (in) 40 x 28
- Light Frontlit and backlit, 3 tones
- Smart features Bluetooth speaker, touch
- Anti-fog Yes
This is the bigger, brighter sibling of my top pick. At 40 by 28 inches it covers a 48 inch vanity or a long single sink, and it is lit from the front and from behind. The backlight puts a soft glow on the wall, while the front light is what reaches your face.
It shares the smaller model's light range: 3000K, 4000K and 6500K, with brightness from 5% to 100%. The touch controls handle the light, the anti-fog function and the Bluetooth speaker, so there are no buttons to hunt for with wet hands. It weighs about 19 pounds and mounts vertically or horizontally.
The same two gaps apply as on the 28 by 36: the listing does not give a water rating or say how it is powered. For a mirror this wide over a double sink, check where your outlet or junction box sits before you order.
What I like
- Front and back light in one mirror
- Touch controls for light, anti-fog and Bluetooth
- 40 inches wide for a long vanity
- Same 5% to 100% dimming as the smaller STARLEAD
Keep in mind
- No water rating stated
- Power type not stated
Best With Storage and a Clock
Keonjinn 30 x 32 Lighted Medicine Cabinet with Bluetooth Clock and Outlets, Medicine Cabinet with Lights 3 Colors Dimmable with Adjustable Shelves, Tempered Glass Safe Defog Surface or Recessed Mount
- Premium
- Size (in) 30 x 32 x 4.9 deep
- Light Front and interior LED, 3 tones
- Smart features Synced clock, outlets, USB
- Anti-fog Yes
This one is a different kind of smart mirror: a medicine cabinet with the smart parts on the door. The front mirror shows a digital clock that sets itself by Bluetooth time sync, the light shines from the front and inside the cabinet, and it dims steplessly across three color temperatures. There is an anti-fog function and a memory for your last setting.
Inside, outlets and USB ports charge a toothbrush or a razor without a cord across the counter, and the shelves are adjustable tempered glass. The doors close on soft-close hinges. The whole unit is 30 by 32 inches and about 4.9 inches deep, and it can be surface mounted or recessed into the wall.
It is heavy, at almost 53 pounds, so it needs to go into studs. It also arrives with a plug: the listing says you can convert it to hardwired, and tells you to use a professional electrician if you are not sure how. My medicine cabinets page and the guide to measuring for a medicine cabinet will help you check the recess before you buy.
What I like
- Digital clock on the mirror that syncs its time by Bluetooth
- Outlets and USB ports inside the cabinet
- Adjustable tempered glass shelves and soft-close hinges
- Surface or recessed mounting
Keep in mind
- About 53 pounds, so plan for studs and a second pair of hands
- Ships with a plug; hardwiring is a job for an electrician
- No speaker for music
Best for a Makeup Desk
Hasipu Vanity Mirror with Lights and Bluetooth Speaker, 32" x 21.7" LED Makeup Mirror, Lighted Makeup Mirror with Dimmable 3 Modes, USB Charging Port, Round Black
- Mid-range
- Size (in) 32 x 21.7
- Light LED strip, 3 tones, 0 to 100%
- Smart features Speaker, calls, USB port
- Water rating Not for wet rooms
Not every smart mirror belongs in a bathroom. If you do your makeup at a desk in the bedroom, this Hasipu brings the same speaker idea to a vanity. It is 32 by 21.7 inches with an LED strip around the glass, three color tones and dimming from 0% to 100%, and a memory function for your last setting.
The speaker pairs with your phone and can take calls, and a USB port charges the phone while it plays. The base comes off with a screwdriver, and two holes on the back let you hang it on the wall instead. At about four pounds it is easy to move.
Two cautions. The listing says the light flashes with the music volume, which is fun for some and distracting while you blend. And there is no anti-fog or water rating, so keep it out of the bathroom. For a classic bulb-style desk mirror, see my lighted vanity mirrors or the desk vanity mirrors page.
What I like
- Bluetooth speaker that can also answer phone calls
- Stands on a desk or hangs on a wall
- USB charging port
- Light at three tones from 0% to 100%
Keep in mind
- Made for a bedroom vanity, not a wet bathroom
- No anti-fog
- Light flashes with the music volume, which not everyone wants
How I Chose These Smart Mirrors
- Light first. A smart mirror is still a mirror. I ranked models with adjustable color temperature and a wide dimming range ahead of extra gadgets, and front light ahead of backlight only.
- Built for the room it goes in. A stated water rating, tempered or film-backed glass and a defogger count in favor of a bathroom mirror.
- Clear power options. A listing that tells you whether it plugs in or needs hardwiring ranks above one that leaves you guessing.
- Features you will use daily. Memory, touch controls and a defogger matter every morning. A speaker is the bonus, not the reason.
- Price tiers, not prices. Prices change daily, so I give you tiers and send you to the live listing.
Smart Mirror Buying Guide
Three Kinds of Smart Mirror
The word covers three quite different products. The first and most common is a connected LED mirror: lights, touch controls, a defogger and a Bluetooth speaker, like six of the seven above. The second is a smart cabinet, where the same features sit on the door of a medicine cabinet, often with outlets inside. The third is a display mirror, with a screen behind partially reflective glass that can show the time, weather or apps. Display mirrors are mostly made to order by specialist companies and cost far more, so check the delivery time and the software support before you commit.
Light: Color Temperature, CRI and Dimming
Every mirror here lets you change the color of the light, usually between about 3000K (warm, like a table lamp) and 6000K to 6500K (cool, like daylight). For makeup, the neutral middle setting near 4000K to 4500K is the most honest. CRI matters too: two of these listings state CRI 90 or higher. Dimming range is the detail most people skip. A mirror that dims to 5% or 10% is kinder at night than one that stops at 20%.
Front-Lit vs Backlit
Backlight glows on the wall behind the mirror and looks lovely, but it lights the wall more than your face. Front light, through a frosted band or ring in the glass, is what reaches you. If you shave or do makeup at the mirror, look for front light, or both, as on the larger STARLEAD and the M LTMIRROR.
Anti-Fog Pads
A defogger is a thin heated pad behind the center of the glass. It clears the area you look into, not always the edges, and it needs a little time to warm up. A pad that switches itself off, like the one-hour timer on the JSneijder, saves power if you forget it. My guide to stopping bathroom mirror fog covers the other fixes.
Water Ratings
An IP rating has two digits: the first is protection against solids and dust, the second against water. IP44 means protection against splashing water, which suits the wall over a sink. IP65 adds dust-tight sealing and protection against water jets. If a listing gives no rating, treat it as unknown and ask before you hang it near a shower.
Plug-In vs Hardwired
A plug-in mirror needs an outlet close by, and in a US bathroom that outlet should be GFCI protected, as the electrical code requires for bathroom receptacles. A hardwired mirror connects to a junction box behind the glass, which looks cleaner but usually means an electrician. Two mirrors here offer both. Measure where your box or outlet is before you choose a size.
Size
Pick the width from your vanity, not the other way round. A mirror a few inches narrower than the vanity on each side looks right. My bathroom mirror size calculator does the math, and the vanity mirror height guide tells you where to hang it.
Are Smart Mirrors Worth It?
A connected LED mirror is worth it if you would buy a lighted mirror anyway. The speaker and the memory function add little to the price tier, and the defogger is the feature you will notice every single morning. Where I would hold back is paying a premium for a feature you will not use: a clock on the glass is handy in a bathroom without a window, a speaker is pointless if you never play music, and a display mirror only makes sense if you know which app you want on it. Lights fail before glass does, so a clear warranty from the seller is worth more than an extra feature.
Most combine LED lights, touch sensors, a heated anti-fog pad and a Bluetooth speaker behind ordinary mirror glass, all run from one power supply. Display models go further: a screen sits behind partially reflective glass, and the image shows through wherever the screen is bright while the rest still reflects.
It is a mirror with built-in electronics that do more than light it. On most listings that means dimmable, color-adjustable light, touch controls, a defogger, memory of your last setting and Bluetooth audio. At the top end, it means a screen behind the glass that can show the time, weather or apps.
They need power, so you have to plan an outlet or a junction box, and a hardwired model usually means an electrician. The LEDs and drivers can fail before the glass does, and many lights cannot be replaced on their own. Backlit-only models also light the wall more than your face.
Yes, but they are a specialist product. A TV mirror puts a waterproofed screen behind partially reflective glass, and most are made to order rather than shipped from stock. Check the water rating, how the screen is cooled and who services it, and expect a far higher price tier than a Bluetooth LED mirror.
Not for a plug-in model: you hang it on the wall and plug it into a nearby GFCI outlet. For a hardwired install, where the mirror connects to a junction box behind the glass, I would hire one. Two of the listings above say so themselves, and a wet room is the wrong place to learn wiring.
