Best Round Wall Mirrors: Metal, Wood and Gold Circles by Size

On this page
A round wall mirror is the easiest way to soften a room full of straight lines: cabinets, tiles, door frames and the rectangle of a vanity. It is also the most forgiving shape to hang, because a circle never looks crooked. This page compares seven round wall mirrors from 24 to 48 inches across, in thin metal, wood and gold frames, on the glass, the weight and how each one goes on the wall.
I spend a lot of time in front of bathroom mirrors for work, and the most common mistake I see with circles is the size: too small over a wide vanity, or too big for a narrow hall. The specs below come from each published listing, and the sizing guide further down fixes the size question. For sunburst, octagon and other shaped frames, see my decorative mirrors page, and for rectangles, the bathroom wall mirrors page.

Best Round Wall Mirrors Compared
Sizes are diameters in inches, as each listing gives them. Five of the seven have aluminum or metal frames that suit a bathroom, one is wood and one is a decorative iron frame. Weights are the listing's own figures where it gives one.

Round Wall Mirror Reviews
Diameters, frames, glass, weights and hanging hardware below come from the makers' and sellers' published listings. I compared those details against each other and against the room each mirror is sold for, and I say plainly when a listing leaves something out or contradicts itself.

BEAUTYPEAK 30 Inch Round Mirror, Metal Frame Circle Mirror, Black | Wall Mounted for Entryway, Bathroom, Vanity, Living Room
- Budget
- Diameter (in) 30
- Frame Brushed aluminum, black
- Glass 5mm float glass
- Weight About 10 lb
This is the round mirror I would point most people to first. At 30 inches across it suits a 36 inch vanity, a console table or the wall at the end of a hall, and the thin brushed black aluminum frame works with almost any style, from modern to farmhouse.
The glass is the reason it gets my top spot. The listing gives 5mm polished float glass with a silver mirror backing film, which it says makes the mirror slightly heavier but gives a clear reflection without distortion. At about 10 pounds it is still easy to hang.
Installation is simple: the hooks are already fixed to the back, and the screws and hardware are in the box. BEAUTYPEAK also says it reinforced the packaging and will deal with a mirror that arrives broken. If you want the same look larger, the same listing family runs to bigger diameters.
What I like
- 5mm polished float glass with a silver backing film
- Brushed aluminum frame that suits bathrooms
- Hooks pre-installed on the back, screws included
- Reinforced packaging and help if it arrives broken
Keep in mind
- Heavier than the HARRITPURE of the same size
- Black only on this listing
Best Lightweight
HARRITPURE 30" Round Mirror
- Budget
- Diameter (in) 30
- Frame Frosted aluminum, black
- Glass 5mm float glass
- Weight About 5 lb
If you rent, or your walls are plaster, this HARRITPURE is the 30 inch circle I would choose. It weighs about 5 pounds, half the BEAUTYPEAK, and the listing says it needs only one hole in the wall to hang. That is the smallest repair job you can leave behind when you move out.
The glass is 5mm float glass, polished for a clear reflection, in a frosted aluminum alloy frame that the listing calls waterproof and moisture-proof, so it suits a bathroom as well as a hallway. It comes in several colors and sizes if black at 30 inches is not right.
One point means the mirror can rotate a little if it is bumped. On a circle that never looks crooked, which is one of the best reasons to buy a round mirror for a busy hall.
What I like
- About 5 pounds, the lightest 30 inch mirror here
- Only one hole needed in the wall
- 5mm float glass
- Several colors and sizes on the listing
Keep in mind
- One fixing point means it can turn if knocked, which a circle hides well
- Glass safety film not mentioned
Best Large
HARRITPURE 48 Inch Round Mirror Black Circle Bathroom Mirror | Modern Aluminum Alloy Frame Large Vanity Wall Mirror for Living Room, Bedroom, Entryway
- Mid-range
- Diameter (in) 48
- Frame Brushed aluminum, black
- Glass Explosion-proof membrane
- Weight About 26 lb
A 48 inch circle is a piece of wall art in its own right, and this HARRITPURE is the one I would hang over a sofa, a long console or a sideboard. In a brushed black aluminum frame it reads clean and modern, and it fills a wall that a 30 inch mirror would leave looking empty.
At this size, safety matters. The listing describes upgraded glass made with an explosion-proof membrane, so if it is damaged the film holds the glass together. It needs no assembly, and you can hang it or lean it against a wall on a console or the floor.
It weighs about 26 pounds, so fix it into studs or use anchors rated well above that. My guide to hanging a heavy mirror covers both. For a big rectangle instead, see my large wall mirrors page.
What I like
- 48 inches across, the largest circle here
- Explosion-proof membrane on the glass
- Hang it or lean it
- No assembly required
Keep in mind
- About 26 pounds, so it needs studs or rated anchors
- Too wide for most single vanities
Best for a Bathroom
USHOWER 36 Inch Round Bathroom Mirrors for Over Sink | Circle Mirror with Metal Frame, Black Wall Mirror for Vanity, Entryway, Living Room, Hallway and Bedroom Decor
- Mid-range
- Diameter (in) 36
- Frame Rust-resistant metal, black
- Glass Tempered
- Hanging Pre-installed metal hook
The USHOWER is made for the wall over a sink. It is 36 inches across, the right diameter for a 42 to 48 inch vanity, and the listing names the two things a bathroom mirror needs: tempered glass and a rust-resistant metal frame that stands up to humidity.
The black metal frame is slim and modern and pairs well with black or brushed faucets. A metal hook is pre-installed on the back, and the hardware is in the box.
The listing does not give the weight, so ask before you choose anchors. If you want light and a defogger in the same circle, my smart mirrors page includes a 30 inch round model with both, and the LED bathroom mirrors page covers plain lighted ones.
What I like
- Tempered glass
- Rust-resistant metal frame for humid rooms
- Metal hook pre-installed
- 36 inches suits a 42 to 48 inch vanity
Keep in mind
- Weight not stated
- No light or defogger
Best Wood Frame
WallBeyond Round Wood Mirror, 36" Round Modern Decoration Large Circle Wall Mirror for Bathroom Living Room Bedroom Entryway, Walnut
- Mid-range
- Diameter (in) 36
- Frame Plywood, walnut
- Weight About 9 lb
- Hanging Cross-shaped hooks
A wood frame makes a round mirror feel warmer, and this WallBeyond is the one I would choose for a living room, a bedroom or a Scandinavian-style entryway. The 36 inch frame is multi-layer plywood in a walnut finish, which keeps it to about 9 pounds, very light for the size.
Hanging is the easiest on the page. The back has upgraded cross-shaped hooks, so you do not need to measure between two points: hammer the nails in and hang the mirror on the hooks. All the hardware is included. The listing describes an HD silver lens for a clear reflection.
The listing suggests it for bathrooms too, but I would keep a wood frame away from shower steam. For a damp room, choose one of the aluminum circles above.
What I like
- Walnut-finish wood frame in multi-layer plywood
- About 9 pounds, light for 36 inches
- Cross-shaped hooks mean no measuring
- Hardware included
Keep in mind
- Wood is a poor match for a steamy bathroom
- Glass type not stated
Best Small Gold Circle
Sunniry Gold Round Mirror, 24 inch Circle Mirror, Brushed Gold Metal Frame | High Definition, Waterproof, Rust-resistant, Circle Mirror for Bathroom, Bedroom, Entryway, Living Room, Wall Décor
- Budget
- Diameter (in) 24
- Frame Brushed aluminum, gold
- Weight About 6 lb
- Hanging Kit included
Small bathrooms and powder rooms need a small mirror, and a gold frame lifts a plain one. This Sunniry is a 24 inch circle in brushed gold aluminum, which the listing describes as waterproof, rust-resistant and with no light leaking out around the edge.
At about 6 pounds it hangs easily, and the installation kit and manual are included. It suits a 24 to 30 inch vanity, a narrow hallway or a spot above a small console. Gold pairs naturally with brass taps and warm lighting.
Keep the size in proportion. Over a 36 inch vanity, a 24 inch circle looks lost, so move up to 30 inches there. The listing does not say what the glass is, which matters less on a mirror this small and light.
What I like
- Brushed gold aluminum frame
- Frame described as waterproof and rust-resistant
- About 6 pounds
- Installation kit in the box
Keep in mind
- 24 inches is too small for vanities over 30 inches
- Glass type not stated
Best Statement Frame
Madison Park Round Mirror, Metal Frame Circle Mirror 36 inch, Wall Art Decor Mounted Hanging for Entryway, Bathroom, hallway, Living Room, Vanity, Marlowe, Silver
- Mid-range
- Diameter (in) 36
- Frame Iron with metallic foil, silver
- Weight Conflicting: 19.6 or 27.8 lb
- Hanging Keyhole fixtures
Most of the circles here are thin, quiet frames. The Madison Park Marlowe is the opposite: a stylized rounded iron frame finished in silver metallic foil, which makes a 36 inch mirror look like a piece of sculpture. It is the one I would hang in an entryway or above a console where it is the first thing you see.
It is ready to hang from keyhole fixtures on the back. Care is simple but strict: the listing says spot clean only, with no bleach or harsh chemicals, to protect the finish.
The listing contradicts itself on weight. The text says 19.64 pounds and the specification says 27.78 pounds. Plan your anchors for the higher figure and you will be safe either way. Madison Park also points out that it is on the larger side, so tape a 36 inch circle on the wall first.
What I like
- Bold rounded iron frame with metallic foil
- Keyhole fixtures on the back
- Reads as wall art in an entryway
Keep in mind
- The listing gives two different weights, 19.6 and 27.8 pounds
- Spot clean only, no harsh chemicals on the frame
- Not a bathroom mirror
How I Chose These Round Wall Mirrors
- A range of real sizes. I covered 24 inches for powder rooms up to 48 inches for living rooms, with the common 30 and 36 inch sizes in between.
- A frame that suits the room. Aluminum and rust-resistant metal for bathrooms, wood and decorative metal for living spaces.
- Stated glass and weight. A listing that names the glass and gives a weight ranks above one that does not, and I flag conflicting figures.
- Easy, secure hanging. Pre-installed hooks, cross hooks and keyholes count in favor.
- Price tiers, not prices. Prices change daily, so I give you tiers and send you to the live listing.
Round Wall Mirror Buying Guide
What Size Round Mirror Do You Need?
Start from what sits below the mirror. Over a bathroom vanity, choose a diameter a few inches narrower than the vanity: 24 inches for a 30 inch vanity, 30 inches for 36, and 36 inches for 42 to 48. Over a console, a dresser or a sofa, aim for about two thirds of the furniture width. On an open wall, 30 to 36 inches is a safe middle size. For a double vanity, two circles side by side usually look better than one huge one.
Round vs Rectangle in a Bathroom
A circle softens a bathroom and never looks crooked, but it shows less of you than a rectangle of the same width, because the edges curve away. For a quick check and for shaving, a 30 or 36 inch circle is plenty. If you do full makeup at the bathroom mirror, a rectangle or a lighted mirror gives you more usable glass. My bathroom mirror size guide compares the shapes.
Frame Materials
Aluminum is light and rust-proof, the best choice for bathrooms. Wood is warm but dislikes steam. Iron and decorative metal make a bolder statement but are heavier and need gentler cleaning. Match the frame to the metal already in the room: black with black taps, gold with brass, silver with chrome.
Glass and Safety
Look for the glass thickness and whether it is tempered or film-backed. Two of the circles here state 5mm float glass, one is tempered and one has an explosion-proof membrane. Over a sink or in a busy hall, tempered or film-backed glass is the safer choice.
How High to Hang It
Over a vanity, leave a few inches between the faucet or backsplash and the bottom of the frame, and set the center near the eye level of the people who use it most. Over furniture, leave about 6 to 10 inches between the furniture and the mirror. My vanity mirror height guide has the numbers for bathrooms.
Hanging a Round Mirror
Circles hang from one of three systems: a single hook or hole, two hooks, or a keyhole bracket. A single point is the quickest. Two points stop the mirror rotating. Whatever the system, check the weight and use the right anchors, and look at my guide to hanging a mirror without hooks if the back has nothing fitted.
Measure the distance between the two hooks on the back and how far they sit below the top of the frame. Mark two points on the wall at that spacing with a level, fix screws or anchors there, and hang the mirror on both. Two points keep a round mirror from turning when it is bumped.
Yes. Thin metal circles over a vanity and wood circles in living rooms are still among the most common mirror styles sold. A circle has stayed popular because it softens a room of straight lines and suits modern, farmhouse and traditional rooms alike, depending on the frame you choose.
The shape of the frame does not change accuracy: any flat mirror, round or rectangular, shows a true-size reflection. Accuracy comes from flat, good-quality glass and a solid backing. A round mirror simply shows less area than a rectangle of the same width, because its edges curve away.
Not for a 42 to 48 inch vanity, a console or an open wall, where 36 inches is a popular size. It is too big over a 30 inch vanity or in a very narrow hall. Tape a 36 inch circle of paper on the wall first to see how much wall it leaves on each side.
In a well-ventilated bathroom without a shower, yes. Over a shower bathroom, steam can swell or mark a wood frame over time. If you love the look, run the fan, keep the mirror away from the shower and wipe the frame dry. Otherwise, an aluminum frame is the trouble-free choice.
